In the south of China, two marvelously fragranced flowers are produced: osmathus and jasmine sambac. In ancient China, jasmine has a special type of aura: it is considered as a symbol of purity. Olfactively, Chinese jasmine is less heady than the Egyptian or Indian Jasmine but it is lighter and purer. In this perfume is an association with a bouquet of citrus fruit scents.
